LFIGP Extracurricular Activities (APS)
At LFIGP, Extracurricular Activities (APS) allow students to extend their school day through a rich and varied range of sports, artistic, cultural, scientific and educational activities.
Designed to meet the different ages, interests and preferences of our students, these activities give them the opportunity to discover new disciplines, develop their skills, creativity, independence and self-confidence, while sharing moments of discovery and enjoyment

PRIMARY APS
Cinema Workshop
In the Cinema Workshop, children become little filmmakers! Throughout the semester, they discover the world of the seventh art and the different stages involved in creating a film: imagining a story, writing a script, creating a storyboard, acting in front of the camera, discovering technical roles such as camera operator, sound technician or director, and taking part in the editing process.
They are introduced to writing and screenwriting, the language of cinema shots, framing and angles acting, filming techniques and basic video editing
This activity develops creativity and imagination, as well as teamwork and the ability to manage a creative project from start to finish. The work produced is showcased through a final screening.
Gymnastics
Gymnastics allows students to develop their flexibility, coordination and strength through age-appropriate physical activities
Parkour
Parkour offers students a course incorporating different obstacles to overcome through acrobatic movements. Originally practised in urban environments, this discipline is now also practised in nature and indoor sports facilities
Tennis
Students discover and learn the technical fundamentals of the different tennis strokes and are gradually introduced to competition

Football
The Football APS aims to support students’ physical and social development through games, fun exercises, psychomotor activities with and without a ball, challenges, matches and mini-tournaments. Children develop their physical, technical and mental abilities while learning about teamwork, positive behaviour and skills through their favourite sport. The French Football Federation’s Federal Educational Programme is also incorporated into this APS.
Basketball
Students learn the different basketball techniques, including dribbling, passing and shooting, while developing their ability to play as part of a team.
Kids CrossFit
This APS allows children to improve their physical fitness and discover healthy habits that contribute to staying healthy. Through intense, fun and dynamic activities, students work on their strength, coordination, speed, agility and discipline, while exercising in an enjoyable atmosphere.
Theatre / Improvisation
Theatre and improvisation are wonderful tools that allow children to express themselves and develop confidence. During this workshop, they learn how to use their voice, breathing and body to bring characters to life and express different emotions. Improvisation games, diction exercises and staging activities help strengthen their confidence and creativity. The activity also develops concentration, listening skills, respect for others and oral expression.
Hip-Hop
Students discover Street Dance and Hip-Hop movements and create their own choreographies, with the aim of producing a video clip at the end of the term.
Modern Dance
Students learn several choreographies inspired by a variety of modern musical styles.
Ballet
Considered a fundamental foundation of dance, ballet helps develop coordination, balance and flexibility.
Educational Boxing
Educational boxing is based on one essential principle: touching an opponent without intending to hurt them. Students take part in controlled “assaults” rather than fights, in a structured environment where technical and tactical skills are prioritised over power. Striking with the intention of causing harm is considered a foul and is penalised. Through games involving touches, dodging and movement, children can discover the discipline in a supervised and safe environment.
Judo
Judo is a martial art based on defence, physical and mental commitment and self-control. Students gradually learn to master their movements and control their opponent while respecting the principles of the discipline.
Robotics / Coding
This APS offers an interactive and hands-on introduction to the world of robotics and coding. Students discover the basics of robotics, programming and problem-solving through a variety of projects. By exploring the principles of mechanics and coding, they develop their critical thinking skills while bringing their own robotic creations to life.
Science and Experiments
Through interactive science workshops, children experiment, observe and seek to understand the world around them. They carry out fun scientific experiments and discover principles from physics, chemistry and natural sciences. They are also introduced to the scientific method. The activity also encourages teamwork and scientific curiosity.
Artificial Intelligence
This APS offers children a fun introduction to one of tomorrow’s major technologies. They discover what artificial intelligence is, how it works and how it is used in everyday life. Particular attention is given to good practices and responsible use. Students also learn to create different types of content, discover the basics of prompt engineering adapted to their age and take part in creative workshops using artificial intelligence tools.
Entrepreneurship
This activity introduces children to the world of business through practical projects. Students learn how to turn an idea into a project, work as a team, develop their creativity, manage a mini-budget and present their ideas orally. The activity also aims to develop their initiative and self-confidence.
Football Performance
The Football Performance APS is offered in partnership with AFC.
It allows students to train twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, during the so-called “cooler” season, from 28 September to 31 March.
The programme includes 35 intensive sessions 18 Mondays and 17 Wednesdays held from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the outdoor football pitch at LFIGP Primary, for students in Grades 3, 4 and 5, with the AFC coaching team.
Registered students may also take part in the Pompi Cup in November, subject to a participation fee of AED 50.
Sessions during the weeks of 28 September and 5 October will take the form of classroom-based theoretical and educational lessons, while waiting for more comfortable temperatures after the school holidays
Taekwondo
Originating in Korea, taekwondo is a martial art that helps develop strength, personal growth and an open mind. Its practice encourages the search for personal balance and a harmonious relationship with the surrounding environment
Homework Support
Students complete their homework independently while having the opportunity to ask the teacher for help when necessary. They should therefore come prepared and have homework to complete during the session
Positive Leaders
The “Positive Leader” APS supports children in developing their creativity, self-confidence and ability to take initiative through hands-on and creative activities, as well as educational games.
Each session gives them the opportunity to create, experiment and cooperate, while also learning to express themselves, share their ideas and value those of others.
Depending on the session, activities may include soap making, salt dough, Scooby-Doo-themed activities and games, treasure hunts, fun and educational games, arts and crafts, as well as many other activities.
“Positive Leader” is above all about learning to take initiative, create, collaborate and be proud of what you achieve in a fun and supportive environment.
Chess
The Chess Club is offered at two levels.
Tuesday – Beginners’ Chess Club: offered in French and/or English, this course is aimed at students who would like to learn how to play chess. They discover the concept of the game, the chessboard and how to set it up, the movement of the pieces and take part in playing sessions. They also learn the concepts of check and checkmate, as well as certain special moves: en passant, pawn promotion, kingside castling and queenside castling.
Wednesday – Intermediate Chess Club: also offered in French and/or English, this course is aimed at students who already know how to play chess. Special moves are explored in greater depth — en passant, piece promotion, kingside and queenside castling — along with different opening strategies. Students work on checkmate exercises and other chess concepts, as well as taking part in supervised games.
Music Discovery
Students discover singing and a wide range of musical instruments, including piano, guitar, drums, djembe, tambourine and kora.
Knitting / Crochet
Cette activité s’adresse aux jeunes créateurs de CM1 et CM2 souhaitant découvrir le tricot et le crochet.
This activity is aimed at young creators in Grades 4 and 5 who would like to discover knitting and crochet. Beginners gradually learn the basics of these crafts and work on different projects, such as scarves, hats and many other creations.
Materials required: a crochet hook or knitting needles, preferably size 4 or 5, as well as wool of your choice, ideally suitable for size 4 or 5 needles and easy to work with.
Sewing
In this workshop, students discover the world of sewing through a variety of projects: toys, bags, cushions, pencil cases and even clothes for dolls.
They also learn how to give old clothes a second life by transforming unused trousers, shirts or dresses into new and original creations.
Students should be comfortable using basic tools such as scissors and needles.
Materials required: one metre of easy-to-work-with fabric for beginners, such as cotton and/or felt, as well as a sewing kit including hand-sewing needles with a sufficiently wide eye for easy threading, an assortment of basic-colour threads, fabric scissors and standard straight pins.
Reading Club
For students who would like to go beyond the weekly BCD session, the Reading Club offers a dedicated space where they can borrow additional books, share their opinions, talk about their favourite reads and discover new reading ideas
Students have privileged access to the library and enjoy opportunities to exchange ideas and discover new books together.
Please bring: a canvas bag to carry books that do not always fit into school bags
Theatre Acting Workshop – English only
Through theatre and improvisation, students explore their creativity, develop teamwork skills and learn to express themselves in a fun and supportive environment.
Designed for children with a good level of English, this activity allows them to take part in dynamic games, create characters and rehearse short plays that they will enjoy performing
Beyond the stage, the workshop builds self-confidence, improves communication and encourages empathy, all valuable qualities for children’s personal development, both at school and in their everyday lives.
Arts and Crafts
The Arts and Crafts programme gives children the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic techniques and creative projects in a fun and supportive environment. Through drawing, painting, colouring, cutting, gluing, and creating seasonal and themed crafts, students develop their creativity, imagination, fine motor skills and self-expression. The activity also helps build confidence, encourage problem-solving and foster a love of the arts, while giving students the opportunity to create unique projects to take home.
Board Games
The Board Games APS allows children to discover new games while developing a range of skills.
Through play, they learn to experience both competition and collaboration, accept failure and learn from their mistakes, as well as respect others and the rules of the game. A fun way to learn while having a great time.
KINDERGARTEN APS
Mini-Basketball
Children are introduced to basketball through age-appropriate games. They discover the rules, different positions and basic techniques of the sport while having fun.
Mini-Tennis
Children discover tennis in a fun way using age-appropriate equipment: small nets, soft balls and small rackets.
Mini-Football
Children discover football in a fun way using age-appropriate equipment, including small balls and appropriately sized pitches.
Ballet
Students are gently introduced to ballet by their dance teacher. They discover the different positions and vocabulary associated with the discipline while having fun.
Multisports
This activity allows children to discover different sports through team challenges and activities. Medals can be won, but the main goal is to get moving, take on challenges and enjoy fun moments, particularly outdoors
Zumba
Turn up the music and let’s go! Zumba Kids is a fitness dance programme where children learn different choreographies to music and dance steps adapted to their age. The aim is to encourage everyone to move to the rhythm, express themselves freely and build self-confidence without worrying about what others think.
Theater
A theatre enthusiast and educator accompanies children in MS and GS in their development through play, stories and creative expression. A Master Practitioner in NLP and certified in Emotional Intelligence, Special Education and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), she provides a warm and inclusive environment where each child can develop self-confidence, language and communication skills, while discovering the pleasure of expressing themselves and growing through creative activities.
Little Chefs
Led by Rose Marie, this activity allows children to learn in a fun way how to prepare healthy and delicious sweet or savoury dishes.
They will learn to decorate cakes and become familiar with different cooking techniques and utensils, gradually enabling them to participate in cooking activities at home. A tasting session is also planned as part of the activity.
Games and Language – French
Led by Valérie, a kindergarten teacher, this activity encourages oral expression and self-confidence when speaking in front of a group.
Children take part in different games and create hands-on projects that they can then take home.
Games and Language – Arabic
Led by Nancy, the school’s Arabic teacher, this activity offers a variety of games designed to support the development of oral language skills in Arabic.
Arts and Crafts
This creative workshop aims to introduce students to different arts, crafts and decoration techniques.
L’activité se concentre particulièrement sur les arts visuels : peinture, sculpture, dessin, photographie, cinéma, bande dessinée, arts graphiques et arts numériques.
A variety of themes will be explored, allowing them to express their imagination and practise different techniques involving cutting, gluing, assembling and combining colours and shapes.

Young Scientists
Animée par Clémentine, cette activité permet aux enfants de relever différents défis à travers des jeux de construction comme les Lego et les Clipo, alternés avec des activités de modelage.
Les enfants pourront notamment construire en équipe la tour la plus haute possible sans qu’elle ne tombe, créer des paysages, des maisons ou des voitures, réaliser des constructions libres et relever différents petits défis.
Ils découvriront également la manipulation de différentes pâtes, comme la pâte à modeler colorée, afin de favoriser leur motricité manuelle et de créer des personnages, des animaux et bien d’autres réalisations.
Arts and Crafts

What causes a volcanic eruption? What happens when pepper comes into contact with washing-up liquid? How can you balance a fork?
These are just some of the questions children will try to answer through hands-on experimentation. After each session, they can also take home a creation resulting from their experiments, such as an aquarium
Board Games
Led by Jennifer, a teacher at the school, this activity introduces students to the rules of different board games while developing teamwork and a sense of challenge.
Little Geniuses
“Little Geniuses” aims to “reveal the genius in every child” by supporting the development of their personality and knowledge from an early age.
The activity focuses mainly on discovering the world through puzzles and experiments: children handle, explore and experiment.
Magic mirrors, curious liquids, an emotion photo booth, a rather unusual tunnel and many other discoveries help awaken their curiosity.
After each session, children can take home a creation resulting from their discoveries.
A Summer of Improvements for Safer, More Modern and Better-Equipped Campuses
Every summer, the school break provides an ideal opportunity to maintain, renovate and enhance the LFIGP campuses. Once again this year, a wide range of improvement projects were carried out at both Academic City and Oud Metha to prepare for the new school year and support the school's continued development.
Beyond enhancing comfort and the learning environment, these projects serve several essential purposes: maintaining high-quality facilities, strengthening safety and ensuring full compliance with current regulations.
Spaces Redesigned to Better Meet Everyday Needs
Several classrooms were renovated over the summer, with improvements including new furniture, fresh paintwork and new flooring, depending on each space. The aim is to provide students and teachers with functional, welcoming environments that support high-quality teaching and learning.
At Oud Metha, new office spaces were created to accommodate the evolving needs of our staff.
At Academic City 1, the reception area has been redesigned with new wall finishes and updated furniture. As the first point of contact for families and visitors, it now offers a warmer, more functional welcome.
At Academic City 2, the multipurpose hall has been fitted with new flooring, providing a more suitable surface for the wide variety of activities hosted throughout the year.
Essential Technical Upgrades Behind the Scenes
While less visible, many of this summer's projects are equally important to the smooth day-to-day operation of our campuses.
Significant maintenance and replacement work was carried out on the air conditioning systems, while major electrical upgrades were completed at Academic City 2.
These improvements help prevent equipment ageing, enhance reliability and ensure that our facilities continue to meet all applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Before the return of students and staff, all campuses also underwent a comprehensive deep cleaning.
Improvements Designed for Everyday Comfort
Parmi les évolutions majeures de cette rentrée figure le renouvellement du système de vidéosurveillance sur l’ensemble des campus.
Le nouveau dispositif compte désormais 158 caméras à Academic City et 55 à Oud Metha. Il permet d’optimiser la couverture des différents espaces et de renforcer la prévention et la surveillance, dans le respect des exigences réglementaires en matière de sécurité.
Enhanced Security Across All Campuses
One of the most significant developments this year has been the complete upgrade of the CCTV system across all campuses.
The new system now includes 158 cameras at Academic City and 55 cameras at Oud Metha, providing improved coverage throughout the campuses while strengthening prevention, monitoring and overall security in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Improvements Designed for Everyday Comfort
Our outdoor areas have also benefited from several enhancements. At Academic City 2, new outdoor fans have been installed in the playground, providing greater comfort for students during outdoor activities.
This ongoing investment enables LFIGP to support its continued growth while providing students, staff and families with a safe, modern and high-quality learning environment.

Junk Kouture World Final, “Denim Darling” in Dublin
The LFIGP Junk Kouture team recently took part in the World Final of this international sustainable design competition in Dublin, offering our students a unique experience combining creativity and innovation.
Junk Kouture is a global platform that challenges young designers to transform recycled materials into haute couture creations. The competition celebrates ingenuity, sustainable fashion, and circular thinking, bringing together talented students from around the world each year to design, present, and innovate.
The 2026 World Final took place on February 24 at Mahony Hall, The Helix, as part of the Festival of Creativity & Circularity. Young creators showcased their designs before an international audience, highlighting their craftsmanship and artistic vision in a highly competitive environment.
Our students, Leina and Lilia, proudly represented LFIGP with their creation, “Denim Darling.” Their work,combining originality, aesthetics, and teamwork — was recognized with a Certificate of Participation, acknowledging their contribution to this global movement.
A sincere thank you to Mrs. Abiad and Mrs. Barhoumi, whose guidance and dedication enabled our students to take part in this enriching and inspiring journey, blending creativity with sustainable engagement.
Junk Kouture is more than a competition, it is a celebration of imagination, sustainability, and young people’s commitment to building a more responsible future.
Mobile Phones: LFIGP Introduces Secure Pouches
Since 16 February 2026, our school has taken a new step in its policy promoting student well-being and classroom focus by introducing secure phone pouches in middle and high school.
This development is part of a broader educational approach: guiding students toward responsible digital use while preserving the quality of learning and social interactions within the school.
A gradual implementation
The system was introduced progressively to ensure clear understanding for everyone:
– From 11 February 2026 : distribution of the pouches and in-class presentations explaining how they work, including demonstrations and discussion time;
– Since 16 February 2026 : full implementation for all middle and high school students.
Each class received an explanation from the educational teams (student life staff, counsellors or homeroom teachers), supported by detailed information and a FAQ for families.
How does the pouch work?
Upon entering the school, students place their phone in an individual secure pouch.
The locked pouch remains with the student throughout the day in their bag and can only be opened at the exit stations at the end of the school day — or exceptionally by an authorised adult.
The school therefore becomes a phone-free environment during school hours, except for exceptional educational authorisation.
Clear educational objectives
More than a restrictive measure, this system is a collective educational tool designed to:
– Reduce inappropriate phone use
– Improve concentration and school climate
– Enhance student well-being
– Encourage responsibility and autonomy
The goal is to allow students to keep their phone with them while removing the temptation to use it.
International Day: Two Campuses, One Shared Openness to the World
This year, our International Day took place in two complementary events adapted to students’ ages, allowing everyone to enjoy both a learning experience and a convivial celebration:

February 9, Oud Metha: Discovering Cultures from an Early Age
De From 8:30 to 9:30 AM,Kindergarten families were invited to present their countries to the students.
Through stands representing France, Morocco, Tunisia, Colombia, Algeria, Italy, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon,children explored traditional costumes, objects, and cultural specialties while interacting directly with parents.
This calm, age-appropriate moment helped spark their curiosity and gave meaning to the diversity they experience daily at school.
The morning then continued in class with cultural discovery activities to extend learning.
February 12, Academic City: A Festive Evening for the Whole Community
À Academic Citythe International Day continued on February 12 from 5:00 PM with a large celebration bringing together Primary and Secondary students and their families around the following countries: Egypt, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, France, Algeria, Peru, Lebanon, Romania, Sudan, Ukraine, and Morocco.
The stands became a true journey around the world, with tastings, music, and dance allowing visitors to travel from one country to another.
Each stand also featured an activity or performance, including professional artists and dancers, creating a festive and unifying atmosphere for the entire school community.
The evening concluded with two highly anticipated awards:
- Best Stand Award: Tunisia
- Best Traditional Costumes Award: Algeria
Learning, Understanding, and Sharing
Between the educational discovery designed for Kindergarten students and the cultural evening for older students, these two events allowed children to truly experience the richness of the cultures within our school.
We warmly thank the parents, students, and staff for their commitment and enthusiasm, which made this International Day a particularly memorable moment of sharing.

LFIGP Enhances Campus Operations through Partnership with ENGIE Solutions
The Lycée Français International Georges Pompidou (LFIGP) has entered a three-year partnership with ENGIE Solutions Middle East to strengthen facilities management across its Academic City and Oud Metha campuses.
ENGIE Solutions will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance while implementing its Smart O&Mplatform for real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and improved energy management. A dedicated team will ensure smooth daily operations.
This collaboration reinforces LFIGP’s commitment to providing safe, efficient, and sustainable learning environments that support student success and well-being.
Summer Renovations: Enhancements for the 2025–26 School Year
Over the summer break, several renovation projects were carried out to improve the comfort, safety, and overall environment for our students and the entire school community.
These upgrades benefit both learning spaces and our sports and recreational facilities.
New features and renovations:
- La Bulle: refurbished to better host activities.
- Study Hall, Building E: optimized to provide a more functional space for students.
- Basketball court AC2: modernized to encourage sports practice.
- AC2 Garden and OM Garden Zone: new green areas created to support educational projects around the environment.
- Safety nets AC1 / AC2: restored for safer outdoor areas.
- Renovated tables: improved comfort during breaks.
- Pillar protections AC1 / AC2 restored for safer outdoor areas.
- Playgrounds MS / GS: renovated to offer younger students a pleasant and suitable play environment.
- Gymnasium AC1: wall renovations for a refreshed and modern sports hall
These improvements reflect LFIGP’s commitment to providing an environment that is always safer, more welcoming, and better suited to the needs of our students

To support our students with this process, the guidance department is building a wide network of contacts with universities all over the globe. As well as making sure that the LFIGP name and reputation are well known, these connections enable us to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Higher Education and application trends.
The Guidance Department meets with students individually to ensure they have the best strategy to secure an offer in their first choice of university. We accompany them every step of the way from guidance of writing their application essay, opportunities to meet universities to interview practice and suggestions for super curricular reading
We work collaboratively with teachers, families, universities and support staff to yield the best possible outcomes for each student.
35 students from Seconde Euro and members of the MUN Club proudly took part in the #DIAMUN conference.
The theme of this year’s edition? "Catalyzing Global Cooperation for a Unified World."
Our students represented countries such as Japan, Australia, Germany, Lebanon, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, and many more — over thirty in total — across various committees. They skillfully defended their assigned nations’ positions in rich, well-argued, and engaging debates alongside more than 500 participants from both local and international schools, all gathered at Dubai International Academy
This 5th participation by LFIGP set a new record:
6 awards won, including 4 students named Best Delegate
in their respective committees and 2 school awards for LFIGP! A huge congratulations to our students for their commitment, eloquence, and remarkable team spirit!

School Trip to Hong Kong: A Cultural and Educational Immersion
From February 13 to 20, 2025, a group of Première and Terminale SI students from LFIGP explored Hong Kong during a trip full of learning and discovery. Between modernity and tradition, this fascinating metropolis offered them a unique experience, blending cultural exploration with the deepening of their academic knowledge.
This trip was part of a comprehensive educational project that allowed students to tackle several key themes. In history, they studied the British mandate and the handover of Hong Kong to China — a major turning point with deep political and social implications. One group of students focused specifically on the Chinese concept of “one country, two systems” and its current relevance, as China continues to pursue expansionist policies in the Indo-Pacific region. In geography, students reflected on the effects of globalization through Hong Kong’s rapid urbanization, its transportation policies, and its integration into the broader Chinese territory. As part of this, they visited the Hong Kong port and met with a local company to examine the strategic role of Chinese ports, several of which rank among the top ten worldwide.
The trip also offered a window into higher education through a visit to the University of Hong Kong. Guided by a student ambassador, the group discovered the history and architecture of this prestigious institution and met with the admissions team to learn more about academic pathways and opportunities for international students.
Beyond academics, the students explored some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. From the Tian Tan Buddha perched on its island, to the serene Nan Lian Garden, the Wong Tai Sin Temple, and the Monastery of Ten Thousand Buddhas, each visit deepened their understanding of local traditions. The vibrant neighborhood of Lan Kwai Fong and the bustling Temple Street night market also offered a glimpse into the city’s contemporary culture and historical heritage.
This journey was a true eye-opener. The students lived an enriching experience that will leave a lasting mark on their educational journey.

Junk Kouture: When Fashion Meets Sustainability An Artistic and Ecological Journey at LFIGP
For several years now, LFIGP has been passionately involved in ambitious ecological and artistic projects. Following "La Nature en Spectacle" in 2023 and "The World's Largest Painting" in 2024, exhibited in France, participating in Junk Kouture became a natural continuation of this beautiful adventure combining environmental awareness and creativity.
In 2023/2024, Ms. Abiad and Ms. Balieu, along with a group of students, took part in the school’s first-ever participation in Junk Kouture. The experience is being renewed in 2024/2025 with Ms. Barhoumi joining the team.
This global competition invites young talents to transform recycled materials into high-fashion creations, raising awareness about environmental issues while developing students’ creativity and innovative spirit.
Students gather every Wednesday afternoon, with extended sessions for the most passionate among them. The competition encourages teamwork, inspiring exchanges with fashion professionals and artists, and unique encounters with representatives from ESMOD Dubai, a renowned fashion institute. Each year, 4 to 5 designs are produced (either individually or in pairs).

The 2024 edition ended on a high note with the presentation of “Rag to Revolution” in Dublin on March 3 and 4. Alongside finalists from the UAE, Paris, Canada, New York, Milan, and Ireland, our students proudly represented LFIGP. Although we didn’t reach the podium, the experience was filled with immense pride and unforgettable memories.
Looking Ahead to 2025: A New Generation of Talent
The 2025 cohort is already showing great promise with three bold projects: The Denim Darling,, Urban Harmony, and and Loulou Lagouna.Will one of these reach the finals? Time will tell, but the creativity and commitment of our students already hint at something truly inspiring. Bravo to them for their incredible energy!
Junk Kouture is far more than just a fashion competition — it's a movement that inspires young people to take positive action for their ecological future while unleashing their imaginations. A true springboard toward a more responsible and creative world!
Un printemps poétique et créatif au LFIGP
To celebrate the arrival of spring, the students of 5e1 and 5e2 embarked on an interdisciplinary project combining French and Mathematics.
The goal?
To combine creativity and rigor through a double activity:
- Poetic Writing: Our young authors composed poems and haikus, inspired by nature and the renewal of spring
- The Art of Folding: Linked to geometry and precision, they then created beautiful origamis, transforming paper into true works of art.
A symbolic gesture: These creations were presented to teachers and the administrative team as a sign of sharing and conviviality, on the very day of spring.
A wonderful way to celebrate this season!

Recap of the Geopolitical Meetings
The Geopolitical Meetings were a great success, bringing together students, teachers, and speakers for fascinating discussions on global geopolitical issues. Over the course of three days, our students had the opportunity to engage with renowned experts on a variety of topics, including the links between sport and politics, the implications of artificial intelligence on geopolitics, and the shifting geopolitical landscape of the world.
We would like to extend a big thank you to Céline Benoun for organizing these enriching meetings, which allowed our students to immerse themselves in stimulating debates and deepen their understanding of these complex issues.
A special thank you goes to Pascal Boniface, whose captivating talks left a lasting impression throughout the week. His analyses and insights sparked numerous reflections on current geopolitical challenges, offering students a unique and inspiring perspective.
A highlight of the event was the conference for parents, featuring Sheikh Sultan Sooud Al-Qassemi, who shared his unique view of the geopolitical issues in the Middle East, providing a valuable perspective. During the conference for our senior students, we had the honor of hearing from JP Besson, a member of the Tony Blair Institute. His speech led to rich and inspiring debates.
This week was an opportunity to strengthen our understanding of global geopolitical challenges, and we hope it has inspired everyone to delve deeper into these critical topics for our shared future.
A huge thank you to all the speakers, guests, and, of course, our students for their active participation in the debates and their contribution to the success of this event.

Mufti Day – A Surge of Solidarity
Mufti Day is a highly anticipated annual event at LFIGP. This special day allows our students to support a noble cause by participating in a large-scale collection of toys and clothes for the "Red Crescent" association.
On January 29, 2025, our 4e EURO students, the driving force behind this project, enthusiastically organized this collection with great commitment. This was the 11th edition of this beautiful initiative, which raises awareness among our young learners about the values of sharing and solidarity.
This year's theme, "Let’s have a stripy January", added a fun and festive touch to the event, with students proudly wearing colorful stripes.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone for your generosity and involvement! Together, we made this Mufti Day a great success!
Franco-German Day – A Rich Cultural Immersion
LFIGP celebrated Franco-German Day by highlighting the strong ties between these two countries. This day, which commemorates the signing of the Élysée Treaty, gave our 4e and 2nde German students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the German school (DISD).
The program featured various collaborative workshops designed to promote intercultural exchange. Our students participated in musical activities, sports games, and a Poetry Slam workshop, encouraging creativity and self-expression in German. The day was filled with wonderful encounters and an enriching openness to German-speaking culture. The Arabic City – A Linguistic and Cultural Immersion
Our MS and GS students had an extraordinary immersive experience by creating The Arabic City at LFIGP!
This interactive workshop allowed children to practice the Arabic language in a fun way by engaging in real-life scenarios: ordering food at a restaurant, buying fruit from a grocer, or trying on clothes in a boutique. It was an original and engaging way to learn while having fun!
The experience was further enriched by musical workshops led by the Arab Music Institute, adding an artistic dimension to cultural discovery. The entire event was enhanced by stunning decorations from Paradise Event, recreating the authentic ambiance of a true Arabic city.
A huge thank you to our 4e ALM students, their teachers, and all involved partners for making this event a success. A wonderful way to celebrate the richness of the Arabic language and culture within our school!
