Line Manager: School Director

Working hours: 27h/week (full time)

Site: LFIGP Academic City – Primary

The applicant should have teaching qualifications and an experience of ESL teaching to young learners.

The French International School, Lycée Georges Pompidou, is recruiting for an English native speaker teacher to join the staff of the Bilingual Team within the French Primary School. English teachers in the Bilingual Section jointly teach,with a French colleague, the French curriculum to students who have been selected for the Bilingual program.

This is a full-time teaching position with responsibilities for two classes and one grade. The teacher is expected to follow the French curriculum however would deliver this curriculum to the students in English.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for the postholder are listed below. The teacher is expected to:

• Monitoring and assessing students through challenging, well-organised lessons across the age and ability rank in primary school;
• Experience and capacity to tutor/supervise;
• Regularly assess student progress;
• A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning;
• Inspiring and developing learners’ potential;
• Being responsible for teaching materials, lesson preparation and evaluation reports;
• Participate in pedagogical consultation meetings

Candidates interested in this position need to be qualified and experienced teachers. Experience teaching in kindergarten would be particularly beneficial. Candidates should also be very flexible and interested in working with a French teaching partner. An ability to speak French would be much appreciated.
