Objectif pédagogique : Comprendre le rôle de l'art dans le processus de paix en Irlande du Nord

Dans le cadre de leurs cours d’anglais, les élèves de 1èreS1 ont réalisé un très beau travail sur le conflit en Irlande du Nord entre 1969 et 1998. Les différentes réalisations sont exposées au CDI. Vous pouvez notamment y admirer la superbe toile d’Olivia, Ioen et Gaspard illustrant l’avènement de la paix à travers l’art !
PEACE THROUGH ART IN NORTHERN IRELAND DURING THE TROUBLES 1ereS1 
Students have worked on the topic of art as testimony in Northern Ireland. They studied some murals and saw how important art could be as historical landmarks of the Troubles in Northern Ireland, opposing Unionists who wanted to remain part of the UK (mainly Protestants) and Republicans (mainly Catholics) who resisted the british Rule (1969-1998).
The students could choose between writing front pages and articles about the most significant events during this period of turmoil (Bloody Sunday / Hunger strikes / Good Friday Agreements / Terrorist attacks from the IRA and the UVF / Walls of separation…) or about the message of peace through murals, songs, poems, sculptures.
Great thanks to all the students who did a very good job, particularly Olivia, Ioen and Gaspard. Inspired by the murals, they have decided to paint their own « mural of peace » and their artpiece is stunning. Thanks a lot for this wonderful work of art.
